First edition, first impression. [viii], 306pp, with numerous diagrams, figures etc in text. Grey cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine, 8vo. An ex university library copy with usual markings on front endpapers, small stamp on the copyright page, plain label on rear paste down and call number taped over spine (no other library markings). Cloth a little rubbed at spine ends and very slightly rounded on corners. Upper text block edge a little dust spotted. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight barring the stated library markings.
