First edition, first impression.  212pp, plus 36pp of black and white plate illustrations.  Brown cloth-covered boards with gilt titles to spine.  8vo. Cloth a little rubbed and pushed at spine ends.  Upper text block edge dull.  A hint of spotting on endpapers.  In its original dust wrapper, toned all over and heavily on spine, rubbed, chipped and rubbed at edges, with minor loss at crumbling spine ends.
