At the time of his reception into the Catholic church, Lunn wrote two books, one on the practicalities of conversion and one on what the Catholic Church looked like to an outsider.  Both were popular.  Here, 20 years later, Lunn reflects on the Church and her life are like when you have had more than enough time to get over the honeymoon period.  But this is more than an exposition of the Catholic Church; it is part autobiography and part memoir.  There are for instance, reminiscences of Ronald Knox and Hilaire Belloc, memories of epic controversies with Dr Coulton and Professor Haldane, as well as delightful anecdotes.
