First edition, first impression.  262pp of text plus 144pp of black and white plate illustrations. Black cloth-covered boards.  4to.  Slightly slanted.  Cloth gently rubbed at corners and spine ends.  Likely an ex library copy, with markings and stamps on rear free endpaper only, else internally neat, clean and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, a little rubbed and bumped at corners and spine ends.  Dust wrapper in a Brodart-style wrapper, itself now shelf worn, which has been taped to the endpapers.
