First edition, first impression. [1929]. 256pp, with tissue-guarded portrait plate frontispiece of Ludwig II as a young man. Tan cloth covered boards with titles blind embossed on front panel, gilt-stamped on spine. 8vo. Cloth gently pushed at spine ends and a little dull, slightly sunned over spine dulling gilding. Text block edges a little toned. Previous owner’s name on creased front free endpaper, some faint and occasional spotting.
