First edition, first printing.  224pp, with black and white illustrations in text.  Black publisher’s cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly pushed at spine ends.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.   Dust wrapper a little bumped on edges, a little rubbed on extreme corners and lightly shelf worn, spine a little sunned.

Rozsa may not be the most familiar name in musical composition but his music is well know, composing the music for some of Hollywood’s greatest successful films in the mid 20th century – The Thief of Baghdad, The Four Feathers, Double Indemnity, Quo Vadis, Ben-Hur, etc.  Arriving in Hollywood in the 1940s as refugee from Europe, he became one of a handful of men behind the myth of Hollywood.
