A brochure from the British Insurance Association setting out, briefly but elegantly, the history of insurance in the UK, starting with marine insurance and fire insurance following the Great Fire of London, and promoting the services offered by the British Insurance industry. Bound in textured light card, with velveteen cord binding, panelled coloured illustration on front. Three colour illustrations mounted and tipped in, and numerous further full page illustrations, further sketches in text. Title page and headings printed in red and black. A deluxe brochure printed elegantly on high grade paper. Cord binding a little faded, covers and pages just a little toned.
