1st thus (article previously published in a local newspaper, The Harrogate Herald in April 1868). ii, 12pp. Blue paper printed covers (gently rubbed and faded on edges). A few pencil marks in margins on last couple of pages. Small booklet containing an essay by Dr William White, on Dr Muspratt’s discovery of a chloride of iron in one of Harrogate’s Chalybeates and the benefit of taking the waters there. Dr Muspratt’s discovery in 1865 helped turn Harrogate into the one of England’s premier spas.
