Green cloth boards with blind tooled decorations and gilt and blue motif on front and spine, gilt lettering (boards just a little rubbed at corners and joints). Previous owner’s bookplate (ex libro Michael Steele) on front paste down. Mild toning at page edges. A handsome, high quality-produced book. Mostly concerned with Scottish birds and other wildlife, as well as local people, including the Cairngorms and the Hebrides, as to be expected with this famous Highland naturalist, but also Northumberia & the Pyrenees. One of Seton Gordon’s scarcer titles.
