Four hardback early reprints from the Just William series. William Carries on is a 1950 reprint; the other three are all 1942 reprints. All have an illustrated frontispiece and further monochrome full page illustrations interleafed in text, all by Thomas Henry. Red cloth-covered boards with black titles on the spine. 12mos. All four volumes have worn and spine faded covers, rubbed all round edges and rounded at corners; and a little spotting on the text block edges. Internally they are generally neat, clean, bright and tight: William Carries on lack its front free endpaper and the front hinge of William Does his Bit is cracked with webbing visible. William the Dictator has creased cloth along the spine.
