28pp, with many reproductions of Brassai’s photography. Stiff card covers. Landscape 12mo. Covers slightly rubbed around spine, with a mild wavy on the upper leading edge. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.

A booklet prepared and published to coincide with an exhibition of Brassai’s photography held at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore in 2011, with an introductory essay on Brassai and his works, and a chronological timeline of his life and career. The images reproduced are grouped into four themes – Paris de Nuit; Paris Secret; Paris de Jour and Picasso. Very hard to find. Brassai, born Gyula Halasz (1899-1984), a Hungarian-French photographer and sculptor who rose to fame in Paris in the inter-war years. Brassai captured the essence of Paris in his photographs but he also photographed many of his artistic friends – Salvador Dali, Matisse and Giacometti included.
