In Face of Fear: Michael Scott’s Challenge to South Africa

First edition, first impression.  228pp, with map and one black and white plate illustration.  Blue cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little rounded and faded on corners and edges.  Slight yellowing to text block edges and a little tanning on endpapers.  Previous owner’s name neatly inked on front paste down, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, worn, faded and rubbed  with chips and nicks around edges, with minor creasing at base of spine.

Rev Michael Scott was an Anglican priest and a controversial anti-apartheid activist, imprisoned in both South Africa and Britain, who campaigned heavily for Namibian independence.
