First English edition, first printing.  174pp, with some black and white plate illustrations and a few line drawings in text.   Black cloth-covered boards, gilt lettering to spine.  8vo.  Cloth a little bruised at spine tips.  Upper text block edges has traces of dustiness.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original illustrated dust jacket, scruffy: rubbed at edges and folds, shelf worn, slight markings, with a circa 1 inch closed tear at the top of the front fold.
