First edition, first impression.  188pp.  Black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.  8vo.  Cloth very slightly rounded at spine ends. Hint of spotting on text block edges.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original illustrated dust jacket, not price clipped, just a little shelf worn.  Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.

Alan Barclay was the pen name of George Barclay Tait; Tait wrote five novels for Robert Hale, this being the final one of the five.  Published in late 1979, it has never been reprinted and is now very hard to find.
