First edition, first impression. 220pp, with colour plate frontispiece, three further colour plates and four monochrome plate illustrations.  Blue cloth-covered boards, with pale blue lettering on spine.  8vo.  Boards are very worn, faded, and marked, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.   Titles on spine obscured by fading.  Text block edges dusty and toned.  Previous owner’s name and date neatly inked on the front free endpaper.  A little toning and spotting on first and last few pages and some chipping to page fore-edges (not affecting text). A little shaken.   A tatty but solid, readable and complete copy.

George Eyston’s own account of his early motor racing years, cars and speed record-breading at Brooklands, Le Mans and Mille Miglia, with colour plate drawings by Bryan de Grineau, alongside monochrome photographic illustrations.
