First edition, first printing. [1948] 224pp. In blue cloth boards with deep blue titles front and spine. Upper text block edge sprayed blue. With a monochrome plate frontispiece and three further similar plate illustrations. Boards very mildly rubbed and rounded at base of spine. Hint of flecking on text block edges. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little bumped on edges, small, circa 1cm2, chip on lower leading corners, and a little rubbing at spine ends and corners. Two demobilised airmen answer an unusual advertisement and find themselves involved in a daring enterprise.
