Abridged from the complete text and edited by O F Morshead. 570pp. Illustrated with full page line drawings by Ernest H Shepard. Reproduction map of London in the 1660s on endpapers, illustrated title page. In red cloth covered boards (a little rubbed at corners and spine ends) with blind embossed vignette and gilt lettering to spine. Slightly loose. Internally neat, clean and bright. In its original, now worn, chipped and partially cracked on folds, dust jacket. Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality mylar wrapper which is not adhered to the book or the dust jacket in any way. Shepard, the illustrator, is perhaps best known for his illustrations of Winnie the Pooh and Wind in the Willows. 8vo.
